Keep your belongings — and your passengers — out of view.
You want it dark, but you also want to stay legal and pass a roadworthy. Here’s the short version for most passenger cars in Victoria:
Must let through at least 35% of light (35% VLT).
Can legally be darker — down to around 20% VLT.
Only a tinted sun strip along the top is permitted.
Rules can vary by vehicle and change over time — we’ll always advise the current legal shade for your car. Darker film may be fitted for off-road or show vehicles at the owner’s request.
Road-legal optionsThe film is workable straight away but takes 3–5 days (longer in cold weather) to fully cure. Keep windows up during that time and avoid cleaning them for about a week.
No — quality film is applied over rear demister lines without damaging them and won’t affect their operation.
Yes. We can strip old or failing film, clean the glass back up and re-tint it properly. Just let us know when you book.
Once cured, use a soft cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals and your tint will stay looking sharp for years.
